Turn Ons?
I’ve been evolving into a homebody, so the most joy I find is really just anywhere with my husband.
Turn Offs?
I have a lot of anxieties around time, so my biggest pet peeve is when people don’t respect it.
Favorite Video Game?
Stardew Valley is my favorite primarily because I find it calming. It is also nostalgic since it reminds me of Harvest Moon. Shamefully, I secretly love how it feeds my enjoyment of routines.
Favorite non-art pastime?
Running. I’m only half joking when I say I might be addicted to it.
Art Crush?
Right now, Hardy Fowler (@fowlerillus) from Digital Painting Studio. He’s a fountain of wisdom for aspiring character artists, with a soothing voice and, ahem, easy on the eyes. My current art dad.
Personal Crayon Color?
Distant Yellow.
I love yellow, but it never looks good on me, so I don’t own anything in that shade. It’s my favorite color I admire from afar.
Why make art?
Creating art puts me in a flow state where time feels slower, occasionally my anxieties fade while I am in it. Right now, I make art purely for my own joy and keeping it as something sacred for myself, without pressure to achieve anything.
What's next?
I’m not working on any projects at the moment, but I’ve been inspired to explore beyond digital art, like sewing and sculpture. I’ve been sitting on ideas for a long time, and I’d love to bring them to life. In the meantime, nothing in the near future.
